Even as a baby, everyone knew that Little Wally was going to become a creative genius. He had a kind of fire in his eyes!! It was kind of freaky, ya know what I mean?
The first time I meet Walley,

he was 14years old. It was like a salvation to me...and this is the truth. There was like Gratefull Dead fans and different kinds of sounds. I was deffinately a rock and roller. He was being coached by the older guys. It was all about the water being free. He used to hang out at these apartments at moonlight beach.

At the time I had my full on air brush shop set up at the garage. I had a 7 foot tall piggyback amp and an SG guitar. I liked to make noise. Walley showed up with his accdoustic guitar, a little kid. He hardly ever talked. He was living with his mom and dad but would come and hang out at the apartments. The nest thing you know we were bonding. He'd play my guitar through my amp. He comanded a respect from an elight group.
But Walley didn't talk much. He talked through his music, ya know. That was way before Snakebight. He was the coolist young kid. But as far as hanging around the older gjuys go, he comanded respect. He has a way of bringing people together. He had a way of caring for people...that deserved it. More like people that cared about or had the deep feeling of this small town (at the time) Encinitas
And ya know as far as young or old it didn't matter to Walley. He ld take time for the people that showed a respect for the local beauty.
He was a hell of a surfer, I don't know if hel addmitt that or not. He had structure. Held get up early in the morning and butter up his english muffin and go.
