Title: Tooth Decay Problems
Category: full of life
Blog Entry: Coca-cola was first introduced in the market in 1886 by Dr. John Pemberton. During that time only nine servings of the drink was sold each day. By the end of its first year, Pemberton suffered a sales loss of about $20. But despite the loss, it proved to be a good investment for John as Coca-cola is now the biggest soft drink company in the world. But during the time Coca-cola was first marketed, tooth decay was not a major problem. Only few people resort to dental bridges, crown , and veneers. This is mainly because eating sweet foods during that time was only reserved during meal time and among the upper class that has money to buy sweets. During the following years though, Coca-Cola gained popularity. It was cheap, readily available, and gives a quick sugar rush. But with its increase in popularity, the problem of tooth decay increased as well. Today, Coca-cola coupled with candy bars, gummy bears, and other sweets make tooth decay the most widespread problem in the world.
